Cyber security is a hot topic of conversation at the moment. The Sunday Times(i) shared an article titled, “Damaging cyberattack ‘inevitable’” and it seems that everyone needs to be on high alert. The article mentioned that “in the past month, there had been 188 attacks classed by the NCSC as Category Two or Three.” This means that there have been “attempts to breach national security or steal intellectual property.”
Today it has been announced that the Queen will be opening a new centre to protect the UK against cyber-attacks. A BBC article(ii)states that “the centre will be working on a voluntary basis with political parties and giving advice to high-profile individuals – including MPs – on how to protect their sensitive data.”
So why does cyber security matter to you and what can you do to protect yourself?
Well, these days, most businesses hold all their important information on their computer systems, which can have commercially sensitive information. Cyber attacks include spam emails, viruses and hacking. Keeping your information safe is vital. With technology rapidly moving forward and an exponential increase in cyber-attacks, it is more important than ever.
We have created a course to help businesses understand cyber security and implement tactics to make sure they avoid being attacked.
