Ali and Elle, from the MicroLearn team, had an informative and interesting day at the Charity Learning Consortium’s (CLC) Member’s Meeting in London on Thursday, meeting representatives from the various charities.
During the day, we had the opportunity to sit in on a number of engaging presentations, starting with Union Southampton, who discussed their successful Blended Learning Solutions which mixes LMS learning with face-to-face teaching.
Phil Willcox’s and Emotion in Learning’s presentation on ‘Making Learning Credible’ was a fascinating look into organisational learning cultures and has given the team food for thought, while Laura Overton’s, ‘Practical Tips for Delivering Less for More’ workshop was insightful.
As users of VideoScribe, it was great to hear Sparkol present on both their current software and future development ideas, while Jemma Molloy’s presentation on the Apprenticeship Levy was a unique chance for MicroLearn to hear how it’s affecting the charity sector.
The event, was a great opportunity to connect with the CLC charities and discover more about their eLearning wants and needs, as we can now use this information to steer our content development plan, and provide clients with courses we know they’re interested in.
Throughout the day, the team were active on social media, interacting with other guests and members. This is something we try to do at all the events we attend, and it was great to get such a positive response. To be the first to know when we’re out and about, why not follow us LinkedIn and Twitter?
We’re already looking forward to the next meeting, in September, where the team plan to present the MicroLearn story to members.
A big thanks to Martin and the CLC team for organising a fantastic event!
