In light of the current global circumstances, we have revised our Module of the Month blog to recognise the uncertainty in the UK and across the world. Originally, we intended to highlight the fantastic work of the British Red Cross during Red Cross Week which has sadly been postponed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
While the event will now take place later in the year, we have decided to still recognise The British Red Cross who are helping with the coronavirus emergency across the UK. Their staff and volunteers are always on standby to help and the coronavirus is no exception.
The British Red Cross is the UK’s branch of the worldwide humanitarian organisation, formed in 1870 and supporting people across the world with the help of over 31,000 volunteers and 2,600 staff.
To recognise the continued efforts of charities across the UK and around the world, we have chosen our Value & Purpose module as May’s Module of the Month. As part of our popular Workplace Wellbeing range, this module explores how both value and purpose influence our professional lives and the ways in which you can add value to the lives of others.
The course explores the influence our values can have, how they can shape our decisions and how they define our purpose both today and in our future. Charitable work and volunteering are great ways of achieving value and purpose, as adding value to someone else’s life will also bring immeasurable value to your own!
