An annual event, running from the 2nd to the 7th of March, National Careers Week aims to promote the importance of good careers education in schools and colleges. The event is targeted at improving the level of careers advise, education and support offered to young people, to ensure the success of future generations.
National Careers Week is a celebration of quality career guidance and free resources across the UK and provides a focus for career guidance activity at a critical stage in the academic year to boost the confidence and nurture the ambitions of young people across the country as they leave education and enter the working world.
To recognise National Careers Week, we’ve chosen our Career Planning module as March’s Module of the Month. As part of our new Career Development range, the Career Planning course explores career development and the five career stages. We will look at the importance of goal setting and the creation of an effective career plan.
The course looks at the importance of development opportunities in the workplace and will uncover the benefits for organisations who invest in their workforce and support career development.
