On December 9, 2018 the United Nations will mark International Anti-Corruption Day, an event which has been held since the Convention Against Corruption was passed in 2003, which is why we’ve decided to make our new Bribery & Corruption course, Module of the Month for December.
The purpose of the event is to raise public awareness of the problem of corruption and the impact it can have on a global scale, recognising its existence in both rich and poor countries and that it has a disproportionate effect on individuals at the bottom of the economic spectrum as it contributes to economic instability and increases poverty levels by undermining institutions, jeopardising sustainable development and impairing the rule of law.
Since MicroLearn launched in January 2017, the catalogue has included a course exploring the Bribery Act 2010, focusing on British legislation. However, in recognition of the impact of bribery and corruption on the global economy, we recently created a brand-new course, which takes a more international approach to the subject.
Our Bribery & Corruption course explores the definition of bribery & corruption, considers international legislation and its global enforcement as well as the impact it can have on national interests, organisations and individuals.
So, to learn how to demonstrate compliance and to protect yourself and your organisation from the risk of a scandal, why not access our Bribery & Corruption course for free by clicking here?
Bribery & Corruption forms part of our brand-new Finance Range alongside, Insider Trading, PCI-DSS, Anti-Money Laundering and Competition Law. For more information on the Finance range, or any other course in our catalogue email firstname.lastname@example.org
