To mark World Mental Health Day on October 10, we’re making our Mental Health course, Module of the Month for October.
The day aims to raise awareness of mental health issues around the world, promoting education and campaigning against the social stigma surrounding the topic.
According to a recent poll conducted by BMG research, one in four people in the UK have experienced a mental health issue in the last 12 months. However, thanks to an increase in public understanding of mental health issues, the number of suicides has fallen to a six-year low.
But there’s still more to be done.
This year’s theme, chosen by the World Federation for Mental Health, is mental health in the workplace. Our course, created as part of our new Workplace Wellbeing range explores how managers, and employees, can support individuals suffering with their mental health.
This includes how to have a conversation about mental health in the workplace, how to deal with an individual’s return to work following time off and tips for managers.
